MANIFESTO · WHY THE FISH
The pufferfish is a delicacy with one rule: it is only ever as good as the hands that prepare it. Tattooing runs on the same rule. Fat Fugu Collective is five resident artists — and one rotating chair for the world's best — working from a single studio in the middle of Northampton.
Bespoke tattoos, piercing, laser removal, and a lounge to sit down in afterwards. We take the work seriously, ourselves considerably less so, and you exactly as you arrive — first-timer, collector, or somewhere in between. We're with you from first enquiry to fully healed, and we'll still be here if you ever change your mind about the ink.

The lounge is why the studio is a collective and not a corridor of private rooms. Bring the friend who's holding your hand; keep the table after your session. Filter coffee and pastries from eleven, a short natural wine list from five, and the Fish Street terrace until late. No booking needed for the bar — the chair is the only thing in this building with a waitlist.

Before
Booking, consultation, design. You'll know the deposit (from £50), the day rate, and the plan before anything touches skin. We reply inside three working days and send a prep note the week of your appointment — sleep, food, what to wear.
CONSULTATION · FREEThe Day
Arrive ten minutes early; eat first. Your artist walks you through stencil, placement, and pain honestly — and pauses are yours to call. The lounge holds your people (and your nerves) while you're in the chair.
PAUSES · ALWAYS ALLOWEDAfter
Healing is the second half of the tattoo. Wrap guidance at day 0, first wash at day 3, matte by day 14 — plus a healed-photo check-in at six weeks. Touch-ups are free within three months. The full walkthrough lives on the aftercare page.
